Over 80 mothers and daughters gathered for the first ever North Shore wide Challah bake. “This multi-generational event was successful beyond our dreams,” said Aliza Friedman, who coordinated and ran the program with Tsippy Jacobs and Mimi Shaeffer. The three are currently spending a year as teaching interns at Chabad.
Though the program was hosted by the Aleph Academy Preschool, the age range was as diverse as the braids in a Bar Mitzvah Challah!
Despite a slight chill in the already darkened night, the Chabad community Shul radiated with light and joy; as if the holidays had suddenly changed course and returned for one last festive hurrah!
