Eileen Kessler, 86, of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Randolph, passed peacefully at Parkland Medical Center on June 4, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Arron Kessler.
Born in Malden, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Goldie (Pearlman) Dorfman. Eileen was a member of the first graduating class of Brandeis University class in 1952. She also enjoyed the distinction of being the matriarch of three generations of Brandeis graduates.
She enjoyed playing Bridge, card games, and Mahjong. She was a champion player of word games, especially Scrabble; most people feared taking a place across the board from her. Of all her interests and passions, Eileen’s most treasured was the time she spent with her family. She was loved by everyone.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Cheryl Kessler Katz and her husband Alan of Marietta, GA, David S. Kessler and his wife Kathy of Newnan, GA, Joel S. Kessler and his wife Jean of Brockton, and Cyndi Smith and her husband Allan of Litchfield, NH. She also leaves 12 adoring grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on June 7 at Pride of Boston Cemetery, Washington St., Woburn. Donations in Eileen’s memory may be made to All American Assisted Living, 1 Button Dr., Londonderry, NH 03053, or American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
