Harold N. Mack

Harold N. Mack, 89, of Peabody, formerly of Salem and Marblehead, entered eternal rest on Jan. 5, 2021.

Harold was born and raised in Portland, Maine. He attended Bowdoin College Class of 1953, Boston University Law School Class of 1955, and then served honorably in the Army during the Korean War. He had a long career as an attorney, working for the National Labor Relations Board for five years, a Partner with the firm Morgan, Bown, & Joy for 35 years, and the firm Phillips, Gerstein, & Channen for 10 years. He was a member of the American Bar Association and served on the board of Temple Israel (before it merged as Congregation Shirat Hayam).

He was the devoted husband of late Harriet (Alfond) Mack; beloved father of Robert Mack and his wife Judy of Charlestown, Judy Sands and her husband Stephen of Danvers, Jim Mack and his wife Nancy of Westborough, and David Mack and his wife Stacey Parker of Beverly; adored grandfather of Eric Sands, Rebecca Richmond, Joshua, Andrew, Sam, Ilana, Samantha, Alex, Elizabeth, and Charlie Mack; cherished great-grandfather of Salvatore Sands; and loving brother of Nancy and her husband David Burman, the late Evelyn and her husband Louis Aronson, and the late Carl and Shirley Mack.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services are private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Harold’s memory may be donated to Combined Jewish Philanthropies, and Jewish Family & Children’s Services. Arrangements were handled by Goldman Funeral Chapel, Malden. For online condolences, go to goldmanfc.com.
