Jonathan Luray, of Marblehead, passed away on June 17, 2021. He died peacefully in his sleep of heart failure. He had recently turned 60.
He is survived by his mother Edith Luray and his stepfather Richard Lehman, both of Marblehead, as well as his sister Jennifer Luray, brother-in-law Steve Goodman, and his niece Mia Goodman of Washington, D.C. He was predeceased by his father Martin Luray.
Born on May 19, 1961, Jon grew up in Summit, New Jersey. He graduated from Tabor Academy in Marion, and Massachusetts College of Art. Jon worked in IT sales for many years.
He was a talented artist, skilled sailor, big rock and jazz fan, and a master of the barbeque grill. Jon was known and loved by family and friends for his warmth, generosity and humor.
A private memorial service was held on June 24 in Marblehead. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jon’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
