Reinharz to lead American Society of the University of Haifa

Newton native Naomi Reinharz, a seasoned professional and lay leader at major global Jewish and pro-Israel organizations, has been named the new chief executive officer of American Society of the University of Haifa.

“I am humbled and gratified to begin this journey of spearheading efforts to raise awareness and financial support for a pioneering institution, which in only 50 years has achieved so much and become a model of excellence across a multitude of different fields,” Reinharz said.

Reinharz brings a passion for providing opportunities for individuals, families, and foundations to support projects and beneficiaries in Israel and throughout the diaspora. From 2020-2022, she served as Chief Development Officer of the America-Israel Friendship League. From 2013-2019, she held various roles at ORT America, including National Director of Next Generation, Director of Major Gifts for the Northeast, and National Director of Major Gifts.

An attorney, she holds a B.A. from Brown University, a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and a Certificate in Jewish Philanthropy from Yeshiva University.
