What a pleasure to hear about a children’s book by artist Theresa Bernstein (“Children’s book draws evocative portrait of little-know Jewish artist,” Jewish Journal, June 25).

However, I would add two facts: She was not little known; in fact, the Cape Ann Museum regularly features her work.

Also, in addition to being “part of the community’s vibrant art scene,” she was also a member of Temple Ahavat Achim in Gloucester. She attended services there until she was well past 100 years old. She died close to age 112.
