More than 50 business and civic leaders from Boston’s Indian and Jewish communities recently gathered to celebrate their shared values and forge stronger bonds – a meaningful convening fitting for two of the world’s oldest and most resilient civilizations.

The event was co-hosted by Brookline resident Colette Phillips, founder and CEO of Get Konnected!, and Meena Bharath, former president of the Massachusetts Asian American Pacific Islander Commission and founder of the Meher Foundation. Special guest speakers at the event were Consul General of Israel to New England Benjamin Sharoni and Consul General of India in Boston Shri Raghuram S.

Among the leaders from both communities who attended were Sushil Tuli, founder and chairman of Leader Bank; Raj Sharma of the Sharma Group at Merrill Lynch; Rakhi Kumar of Sustainability at Liberty Mutual; Nav Singh, board chair of the Boston Chamber; Rob Leikind of the American Jewish Committee, New England; Nikhil Goray of Americas SAP at EY; healthcare executive Sumitra Sivaram; Rabbi Bill Hamilton of Congregation Kehillath Israel; Debbie Coltin of Lappin Foundation; Dr. Jennifer Skolnick and Jason Skolnick; Lino Covarrubias of Jewish Family Services of MetroWest; and MIT Professor Ernest Fraenkel.
