The 17th annual Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit opens Labor Day weekend and closes Thanksgiving weekend on the 100-acre campus of Pingree School. Free and open to the public seven days a week from dawn until dusk, the exhibit includes close to 50 new works on temporary display and more than 20 pieces in the permanent collection of the school.

One featured artist is Justin Perlman. Perlman studied anthropology at Hampshire College before attending the Art Students League in New York and then moving to Italy to study sculpture and marble carving. His large-scale sculptures have been exhibited at The Mount in the Berkshires and the Flying Horse Outdoor Sculpture exhibit in South Hamilton, where his work will be on display for three months this fall.

A reception with the artists is also open to the public on Sunday, Sept.13 at 1:30 p.m.
